Jaipur. The management and administration of the Govind Dev Temple are reportedly distancing the deity from millions of devotees, particularly during significant occasions like Ekadashi and Sundays. On these special days, not only residents of Jaipur but also people from surrounding areas flock to seek blessings from Govind Dev.
Bhardwaj highlighted that the temple administration has prioritized VIP visitors, effectively sidelining countless devoted followers. Allowing devotees to view the deity from a distance of 25 feet for merely 40 seconds undermines their faith. He urged the management to reconsider this decision and explore alternative solutions; otherwise, many disappointed devotees may take to the streets to express their discontent.
According to Bhardwaj, the people of Jaipur hold immense faith in Govind Dev. On Ekadashi and Sundays, they come to share their thoughts with their deity. However, the focus on accommodating VIPs has resulted in ordinary devotees being pushed away from the deity. This distance makes it nearly impossible for the elderly and those who wear glasses to have a proper view. Previously, many would gather in the temple courtyard to sing hymns, a practice that has now been halted by the administration. The tranquility that used to fill the temple grounds has been disrupted, and sitting in the temple area is now prohibited. Bhardwaj appealed to the temple management to consider the sentiments of the general public and find a better solution to avoid alienating devotees from their God.
